Komori exceeds 1,000 H-UV offset printing machines

Komori Corporation has announced that the total orders of its innovative H-UV curing system has exceeded, by January 2019, 1,000 printing machines.

Komori H-UV is an innovative UV curing technology that uses a UV lamp / LED module developed with Komori’s know-how and high sensitivity UV ink. With only one lamp mounted on the outlet, this system offers high print quality and high reliability, as well as economic and sustainable performance.

Being a pioneer in the H-UV process, Komori is a reference in the market for this type of technology, by far. In the first moments after the launch of H-UV, the company had to explain and demonstrate the multiple advantages before a public quite skeptical. With more than 1,000 Komori H-UV machines (H-UV and H-UV L), it is clear that the H-UV curing system has positioned the offset process as the most efficient method for high quality printing.

This leadership is reproduced, in the same way, in Spain; where Komori is one of the leading leaders in number of installations of offset printing machines with low energy drying technology (H-UV and H-UV L technologies).

The H-UV system has been used internationally since its launch in 2009. In 2011, it obtained the technological prize of the Japanese Society of Science and Technology of Printing (JSPST) for being a technology that has made a great contribution to the growth of the graphic industry or the development of applications for other areas. It was also distinguished with the 2011 InterTech Technology Award in recognition of the development of technologies that are expected to have a great impact on the graphic arts industry and related sectors. In recent years, the range has been completed with the H-UV L (LED) version, further improving printing efficiency and reducing electrical consumption and maintenance.

In January 2019, orders for H-UV systems since its launch amounted to 1,002 machines, of which 527 were installed in Japan and 475 in the rest of the world.

The H-UV system allows printed jobs to be sent immediately to be manipulated and facilitates the printing of high added value on special supports, as well as the printing of packaging, thanks to its instantaneous drying capacity. In response to the rapid change of the graphic industry in recent years, where short runs of many different products with very tight delivery times have taken center stage, this technology has gained great notoriety, and this is demonstrated by the new orders from customers that have already installed the H-UV system.

For its part, Komori’s comprehensive support service helps maintain high print quality, eliminates the most common problems and reduces costs, since all consumables of the K-Supply brand for the H-UV system are supplied by Komori . Among them stands out the K-Supply ink H-UV, the standard Komori ink.

Komori applies its know-how as a manufacturer of printing machines to ensure quality control that goes beyond the supply of materials and also covers recommendations and maintenance of equipment.

Komori offers new generation products, designed with the client in mind and with a firm commitment to continue offering comprehensive printing systems to meet the demands of its customers.

H-UV is a new way of understanding and working the business of commercial printing.
